Last week, during one of the calm days, Brian Kingwill spent the day fishing with Captain Rigo. Brian has been fishing his entire life and for the past 35 years, has been trying to catch a sailfish. Well, Captain Rigo made it happen with a nice 60 kilos fish. Check out the expression on Brian's face. Unfortunately, the hook was in the gills and because of the damage, the fish could not be released.

Bill Evans, our good friend from La Paz, and Brian Kingwill, spent the day fishing with Captain Rigo. After catching a dozen mackerel, the trio headed for deep water. They planned on fishing for cabrilla and pargo, but were rewarded with something unexpected. When the mackerel were gone, the box had 6 very nice jurel and a panga of tired fishermen.
Here's Brian with the days catch.
Returning the next day, produced this nice amberjack for Bill, plus another smaller amberjack and 2 more jurel. Another great day fishing with Gerardo.

Brian Kingwill and his son Brett took a day off from working on their sailboat and went fishing. They spent the day on the water with our Captain Rigo looking for dorado. Rigo was using his whole bag of tricks to get them to bite, but it ended-up being a slow morning. Brett saved the day, by putting 2 good dorado in the box, then topping off the day by hooking a striped marlin. It was Brett's first billfish ever, but you wouldn't know it the way he handled the rod and brought the fish to the boat in 30 minutes. The fish was hooked in the mouth and made releasing it easy. Brett's limit of dorado and a "Catch and Release" on his first marlin, made for a great Father & Son Day on the water.
Luis, one of the boys at the shelter in La Paz, went fishing for the first time in the Sea of Cortez and had a great time. Fishing with Bill Evans from Pa Paz and Captain Rigo, Luis quickly learned how to use a rod and reel and out fished both of them. He ended the day with his limit and also catching a limit for Bill.

Today, our friend Bill went fishing with Captain Rigo from La Paz. It was a little rough, because of an east wind and catching bait was a little difficult, but Rigo still managed to catch one nice 20 pound dorado and 4 good cabrilla to 10 lbs. 2 other nice fish were lost to the rocks, sometimes that happens. It was a hard day fishing, but very rewarding,Four amigos also were fishing Thom Chapman
